Our system runs well after three years. They were good to work with. Their office helped us with the California document submission. We are pleased!Posted on David MartinezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After interviewing 3 solar companies I selected Simmiti for my dolar installation. The planning and submissions to PGE and SCCounty Building were done in a timely manner. The installation crew was superb. The inspector was highly impressed with the installation. Ana, my PM, stayed on all parties to get the final steps of approvals. I highly recommend Simmitri for your solar project. 9/12/2025 I just recently added 6 panels to my system (added e-car) and Pamela at Simmitri handled my project. Communication throughout the project was excellent and the crew, once again were FANTASTIC! Simmitri is a pleasure to work with.Posted on Denise TsangTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We can say that installing and working with Simmitri was a seamless experience. They did exactly as they say they would. The staff is amazing to work with, especially the Project Manager Pamela Rodriguez and the Sales Manager Lonnie Cory. The installation crew was fast, clean and friendly. All in all, a great experience working with them from the beginning... and continuing. We are so happy with our new system!Posted on Ben BartyzelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. UPDATE: Shortly after posting this review I got contacted by Nick from Simmitri, he was courteous, apologized for the issue I had encountered, confirmed my eligibility for complimentary cleaning and offered few available times. I scheduled for the first available option, Simmitri guys called ahead when they were on the way to give me heads up, showed up on-time, cleaned the panels without any issues. Nick demonstrated that Simmitri cares about their customers and are willing to stand by them and do what's right. Based on this experience I updated my review and rating. -------------------------------------------------- Maybe I'm one of a few edge cases here, but I had really negative experience working with Simmitri. It started Ok during the sales. BTW Simmitri was not the least expensive option by any means. In fact they were closer to be the most expensive out of the several bids and quotes I had received. Sales guy promised me that I will pay more, but will get the install faster and all the work will be done by their own expert team - which he said was officially approved by the company as part of the transaction sign off. That's the end of good. Right away I got a terrible PM assigned to me, no status updates, misleading, confused...all my dates (which BTW were specified in the agreement) were missed, I had to personally reach out and coordinate with city planning to issue permit because Simmiti was not actively following up and were causing delays... once I had everything ready and they had scheduled an actual install date, no one had showed up (even though I sent emails and requested confirmation a week prior to the install date and was told all was Ok). I had to speak with the owner/CEO to get a new install who refuted that I had an install date set in the agreement - meaning he never even looked at it. I had to send him my copy and point to the date there... to which he said "it should have never been there, I need to talk to Sales to make sure it gets fixed"... anyways, as a result I had 3+ month delay from the date stated in the contract and missed the entire summer - which is peak months of generation last year and this had pushed my payback time on this investment by two years. The install crew that came to do the installation was a 3rd party sub-contracted by Simmitri. BTW they were good and did a good job (I think as I'm not an expert, but the system works). After working with the leadership through numerous escalations I finally got the system installed. I was told that in additional to $500 credit for all of the issues I had, I would get few cleaning and maintenance credits, never happened. Called in earlier to get a cleaning scheduled and was told I don't have any complementary cleanings... I would not recommend them.Posted on John PostovitTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The people at Simmitri were very helpful in getting the solar system through the hoops to approval with PG&E. Highly recommended.

What Are Traditional Solar Panels?
Traditional solar panels are rack-mounted photovoltaic modules installed over your existing roof. They are the most common solar solution used today.
- Proven efficiency, often 18–22%
- Installed over most roofing types (shingles, tile, metal)
- Flexible array sizes and positioning
- Can be removed and reinstalled when roofing work is needed
- Typically more affordable than solar shingles

The Cost of Not Choosing the Right Option

FAQs
Q1: Do GAF solar shingles qualify for the solar tax credit?
A: Yes, because they serve both as roofing and energy-producing components, the IRS allows homeowners to include the roofing portion in the 30% solar tax credit. Consult your tax professional for exact eligibility.
Q2: Are solar shingles as efficient as solar panels?
A: No. Solar shingles typically have lower efficiency (~15–17%) compared to traditional solar panels (18–22%).
Q3: Can I upgrade from panels to shingles later?
A: Yes, but it will require removing the traditional system and possibly replacing your entire roof, which is more costly than installing GAF shingles upfront.
Q4: Which option adds more home value?
A: Both add value, but GAF solar shingles may provide better curb appeal and a more integrated look, especially in high-end or design-conscious neighborhoods.
